Cutimed® Sorbion® Sana Gentle
is a sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming, superabsorbent wound dressing. The atraumatic dressing consists of a superabsorbent core with high retention capacity, an in-between layer made of hypoallergenic polypropylene and an outer wound contact layer made of polyethylene film with three-dimensional perforations.
Intended Purpose
Indications: Cutimed Sorbion Sana Gentle is intended for the treatment of wounds with low to excessive exudate levels, such as decubitus ulcers, ulcus cruris, diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds healing through secondary intention, dehisced wounds, as well as after burns, on donor sites and fragile skin, and epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
Wear time: Cutimed Sorbion Sana Gentle can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of the wound dressing. It is recommended to change the dressing every 24 hours initially, moving to less frequent changes as necessary. A completely soaked dressing must always be avoided.
Product benefits
Outstanding absorption capacity
Outstanding absorption capacity and high retention performance. It is capable of absorbing up to 44.7% more than comparable superabsorbent dressings1. Protection against maceration through safe, vertical absorption.
Atraumatic dressing change
Due to its 3-D structure and smooth surface the outer wound contact layer facilitates the fluid flow in the direction of the dressing, while offering few points of access for ingrowing tissue. This provides a protective layer against adherence to the wound bed2.
Wound cleansing effect
Creates optimal wound healing conditions and provides soft debridement, minimising the treatment effort3, 4, 5.
Time and cost-saving
Time- and cost-saving thanks to reduced frequency of dressing changes and therapy efforts.
Ideal for compression therapy
High retention capacity safely locks away exudate and germs, even under compression therapy6.
Apply either side down
Can be used on both sides for easy and comfortable application.
