Cutimed^® Siltec^® Sacrum

is a silicone coated, sterile, absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with superabsorbent stripes to additionally absorb and lock wound exudate. The wound contact surface allows adherence to the periwound skin but not to the moist wound bed or newly formed epithelial tissue. The additional silicone adhesive border allows secure and gentle fixation.

Intended Purpose

Indications: The Cutimed Siltec Sacrum assortment is indicated for exuding wounds such as: venous and arterial ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical incisions, skin grafts and donor sites, lacerations or abrasions. Cutimed Siltec Sacrum is recommended for wounds with low to high exudate levels.

Wear time: Cutimed Siltec Sacrum can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing.

The self-adhesive silicone border, with low allergy potential, keeps the dressing in place and allows an easy application.¹

Especially designed to fit the sacral area and provide good conformability. The dressing can also be cut to size.^{2, 3}

The highly breathable, water-repellent backing protects the dressing and even makes it possible to take a shower without removing or changing the dressing.

Reliable exudate management

The vertical absorption makes sure exudate is taken up and kept inside the dressing – even under compression. Superabsorbent stripes additionally support the absorption capacity.²

Gentle to wound bed

The skin-friendly, perforated silicone wound contact layer prevents adherence to newly formed tissue, protects wound margins and ensures atraumatic, pain-reduced dressing changes.¹

How to use

Three images to visualize how to select the right size and apply Cutimed Siltec Plus Sacrum

1. Prepare the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical practice.
2. Make sure, the surrounding skin is dry.
3. Choose an appropriate dressing size that covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges. (A)
4. Open the pouch and take out the dressing. Please ensure, that the pouch is not opened or damaged.
5. Remove protective film (B) and apply with the adherent side towards the wound. (C)
6. Avoid stretching the dressing.
7. Depending on the wound location it may be appropriate to apply additional dressing fixation, e.g. in order to increase resistance to incontinence.
8. Cutimed Siltec Sacrum may be used on an infected wound in addition to antimicrobial therapy under medical supervision.
9. If necessary, Cutimed Siltec Sacrum can be used in combination with other dressings e.g. Cutimed Sorbact/Sorbact (in case of infected wounds).
10. Cutimed Siltec Sacrum can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing.
How to Remove
11. Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed Siltec Sacrum from the wound and discard.
12. If required, cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing.
