Cutimed® Alginate
is a sterile, non-medicated alginate dressing, consisting of mainly calcium alginate fiber. Cutimed Alginate dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed. A hidden integrity layer in the dressing gives it high wet stability.
Intended Purpose
Usage instructions: Cutimed Alginate is a highly absorbent wound dressing. It is indicated for moderately to highly exuding wounds, such as: surface trauma, cavity wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous/arterial leg ulcers, donor sites and post-surgical wounds.
Cutimed Alginate dressings are suitable for use under compression bandages.
Wear time: Cutimed Alginate can remain in situ up to 7 days, depending on patient condition, the level of exudate and the saturation of the secondary dressing.
